Heaven's steps of Baptism follows:

Step 1- The Setting- A
Betrothal love sacrament (John 3:22-4:2)
John 3:29- “He who has the bride is the
bridegroom.”

Step 2- Jesus, as bridegroom,
actually baptizes (John 3:22-4:2)
John 3:30- “He (Jesus) must increase but I (the
servant baptizer) must decrease.”
John 3:22- “He (Jesus) remained with them and
baptized.”
John 3:26- “They came to John and said, ‘He
(Jesus) is baptizing.”
John 4:1-2- “the Pharisees heard that Jesus
baptized.” (His disciples did in His place)

Step 3- Old man enters the water
Rom 6:3- “...as many of you
as were baptized into Christ, (your old men) were baptized into
His death.”
Rom. 6:6- “Our old man was crucified with Him.” |

Step 4-Jesus immerses the old man
Rom. 6:4- “We were buried with him through
baptism into death.”
1 Peter 3:21- Baptism cleanses our conscience
John 13:10- Jesus washes disciples feet
declaring them completely clean.

Step 5- The bride leaves the water in white robe holding
betrothal covenant
Rom. 6:4-5- We shall be joined together with
Christ Jesus in newness of resurrection life.
Gal. 3:27 “For as many of you as were baptized
into Christ, have put on Christ,”
2 Cor. 11:2- Paul wrote, “I have betrothed you
to one husband, that I may present you a chaste virgin to
Christ.”

Step 6- Holy Spirit infilling seals the betrothal covenant
Luke 3:21- “Jesus also was baptized, and while
He prayed, the heaven was opened and the Holy Spirit descended
upon him.”
Eph. 1:13-14- Having believed, you (Christ’s
betrothal
covenant) were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise who is the
guarantee of our inheritance.”
Matt. 3:11- “He (Jesus) will baptize you with
the Holy Spirit and fire. |

Step 7- Brides covenant- to be sanctified and walk according to the
Spirit.
Rom 6:18- having become freed from sins, you
become slaves of righteousness.
Rom 8:9- You are not in the flesh, but in the
Spirit if the Spirit of God dwells in you.
1 Thess. 4:3,8- This is the will of God, your
sanctification. He who rejects this, rejects God. |

Step 8- Baptized into Christ’s body
1 Cor. 12:13- by one Spirit we were all
baptized into one body.
Matt: 3:17- The Father declares to the body-
“This is My beloved son, in whom I am well pleased.” |

Step 11- Doctrine - Baptism Sacrament is a foundational
event providing eternal structure
Mark 16:16 - Jesus: "He who believes in Me and
is baptized will be saved."
Titus 3:5 - "He saved us through the washing of
regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit."
John 3:5 - "Unless one is born of water
(baptism) and the Spirit (new birth) he cannot enter the kingdom
of God."
John 9:1-7 - "The man born blind from birth (a
figure for us all), didn't receive sight until he was washed." |
